From one small envelope to a world of connections.
At the Ghana Post office in Cantonments, HABIS learners followed the journey of a letter and discovered the people, systems and careful teamwork behind every delivery.

Questions came quickly as our pupils gathered around the service area: Where does a letter go after it is posted? How is the right destination found? What happens behind the counter? Ghana Post staff patiently opened up the process, turning a familiar envelope into a fascinating real-world lesson.
Learners watched demonstrations, practised addressing items and observed how transactions are handled at the counter. They saw that communication depends on accuracy, organisation and people working carefully together—skills that connect directly to lessons in literacy, numeracy and citizenship.
By the end of the visit, the post office was no longer simply a building they passed on the road. It had become a living classroom, full of purposeful work and new possibilities for how communities stay connected.
